Annie's Flowers & Arrowpoint Interiors

Recently I had the privilege of assisting Jasmine from Annie's Flowers with flowers for a wedding. It was held at Red Lily Vineyard, which is absolutely stunning and located in the Applegate Valley on a lazy river. Jasmine is extremely talented and worked very hard to ensure this wedding would end up perfect. I was simply there to assist her vision and use my creativity to compliment her gift with flowers. I loved it! I had so much fun simply helping her vision come to life. Sometimes it's so nice to use my creativity and not be the one in charge of how it ends up. It was a long and tiring, but super fun day! Thanks Jasmine for asking Arrowpoint Interiors to assist you!

The Gallery Wall

To say that I love Gallery Walls would be an understatement. I could have one on every wall of my house, haha! As of right now I have 4 gallery walls in my house and that is with me using restraint. I wonder why I love them so much? I'm not exactly sure, other than I love photography, art and displaying random, sentimental things on the wall; so it just goes that I would love gallery walls.

I recently did a beautiful gallery wall in someone's home. It consisted of their old, family photos. It turned out amazing! The gallery wall ran down their hallway after you enter the house and are heading to the living and kitchen area. I bought new frames, had them all re-matted with a perfect off-white color and then we hung them in a pleasing group that spoke of history and modern life. Perfection! Maybe you will be inspired to create a Gallery Wall after reading this and seeing the pictures. Enjoy!

I, Erica, started Arrowpoint Interiors two years ago and it was born from my passion for Interior Design. I am so affected my surroundings and I've always loved designing and styling the homes we've lived in so we feel comfortable and inspired to live a active, adventurous life. I feel our homes should be a representation of our unique personalities. I love helping people discover that and how to incorporate that into their homes. I am a happy wife, a mommy to two teenagers and two dogs. I love being outside adventuring and I get all kinds of  decor inspiration from Mother Nature. I appreciate all different kinds of design styles and most love combining design styles to bring out the client's lifestyle and personality.

Now, I would like to introduce you to my little sister, Kendall! She is joining Arrowpoint Interiors and will be a great asset to the business. She brings some major organization skills, she has great design sense, and is tech savvy. She is exactly what Arrowpoint Interiors needs! Take it away, Kendall!

Hi everyone! I, Kendall, am so excited to be joining forces with my big sis! Helping people create homes that they love makes me so happy. I am a wife, boy momma to two, dog mom, interior stylist, passionate about natural living and good deals. I am a lover of all things white and bright, but I also love being stretched outside of my design comfort zone! Organization makes me happy and you can find me organizing in my spare time. Along with interior styling I will be running the social media and behind the scenes business end here at AI. I am so thrilled to see where this business goes and can’t wait to work with you!

#babyroom

My sweet friend has been working on her Baby Room and she recently completed it. It is absolutely stunning! She asked me for a little help here and there, but this is her vision and follow through. This room is such a great combination of her and her husband's personalities. So perfect! I love how interior design and styling is such a matter of allowing your own personality to come through and trusting your instincts.

Office Redo!

I had the privilege and honor of helping a very special person redo her office. She moved into her home about a year ago and has slowly been buying the furniture and decorations she really wants in her home. We all know how that is, we finally get to the point in life where we are sick of the Target furniture or the hand me down furniture. We finally realize its important enough to us to spend the money on what we really want. The office was the the last room to get her attention and it just so happened that she wanted me to help her pull it all together. Yippee! Of course I wanted to, it's what I love to do! She ended up having to replace the floors due to a leaky washer, but it worked out for good in the end because she came away with brand new, beautiful laminate floors.

We found inspiration on Pinterest from Avenue Lifestyle's office. The picture below is what loosely inspired our choices in furniture and color. She loves white, minimalistic and clean lines in her home and yet she also likes touches of warm colors to make things feel cozy.

We spent time in her office space talking about what she envisions, looking on Pinterest at inspiring offices and slowly narrowing down what she wanted.  She made a trip to Portland and spent some money at IKEA which is where most of her office furniture came from. Good choice!

We decided to put the desk under the big window so as she writes, reads and is on her computer she can be inspired by God's beautiful creation. We placed the big, IKEA shelves on the wall above and to the right of her double-desk area. It adds substance and balance to the room and her books are easily accessible. (Obviously her picture frames will eventually have pictures in them and her terra-cotta pots will have plants in them.) The other side of the room has a cozy chair in the corner, a mirror on the wall and enough space in the middle of the room for her to do yoga. Yay!!

Later in the day, after I finished styling her desk and shelves she called me to say she absolutely loves her office. She said it brought her such inspiration and excitement.  She said she even pulled out her painting supplies and has visions of painting again, in that room. Also, she dreams of doing some writing and yoga, in that room. As she was talking I realized that is what a room, a home and a space should do for us. That is the exact reason I love interior design and styling, it brings inspiration. When our surroundings reflect us, inspire us and produce creativity that is a sign we have it right.

Connecting

I recently created a gallery wall in a client’s entry way. It turned out exactly the way she wanted it and she was so excited with the finished product. It’s a perfect first impression to her home when people walk in the front door. But, what the most exciting and memorable thing about this was the connection we made together as we were working on her gallery wall. We were discussing how it would best represent her, what she liked and what I liked. We were talking about our families, our homes, our lives. Two women bonding over decorating a home.  That is the best part of my job - getting to know people, being real, sharing common interests and sadnesses. Life is to be shared, and the older I get the more I realize the blessing in sharing it with whoever I happen to come across that day. Something as exciting,  yet simple as hanging cute decor in someone’s hallway can be an encouraging and inspiring encounter that lasts a lifetime.

“I wanted potential clients to see my heart, to see what makes my heart beat, to share a piece of my life, inviting them to let me into theirs.” - Jenna Kutcher www.jennakutcher.com

What a privilege it is to enter someone’s home and help them create a space that reflects their personalities. It is a special time to connect with another human being. To share a little of myself and to receive a little of who they are, thus adding depth to each of us. So cool!

By the way, a gallery wall is a fun, creative way to add character and personality to your home. To me a gallery wall speaks about who and what is important to those who live in the home. A gallery wall can consist more of pictures, like my gallery wall does, or it can consist more of decorations like this client’s gallery wall. There really isn’t a right way or a wrong way to do a gallery wall and that is probably why I love them so much. They are insanely creative and reflect the hobbies, moments, and places that mean the most.
